Kaivalya Kaivalya (कैवल्य), is the ultimate goal of aṣṭāṅga yoga) and means “solitude”, “detachment” or “isolation”, a vrddhi-derivation from kevala “alone, isolated”. It is the isolation of purusha from prakṛti, and liberation from rebirth, i.e., Moksha.
