Purport: While Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira was the Emperor of the earth, Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa was the King of Dvārakā and was known as Dvārakādhīśa....

Even the actual yogīs aspire after such success with great interest by performance of their various practices....

His occupation was pure and independent. He was constantly sanctified by taking his bath in holy places, although he was in the dress of a mendicant and had no hair dressing nor a bed on which to lie....

Purport: Because they are between the internal and external potencies, the eternally transcendental living entities are called the marginal potency of the Lord....

Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 2 - Chapter 1 - Verse 19 Sanskrit: श्वविड्‍वराहोष्ट्रखरै: संस्तुत: पुरुष: पशु: ।न यत्कर्णपथोपेतो जातु नाम गदाग्रज: ॥ १९ ॥ ITRANS: śva-viḍ-varāhoṣṭra-kharaiḥsaṁstutaḥ puruṣaḥ paśuḥna yat-karṇa-pathopetojātu nāma gadāgrajaḥ Translation: Men who are like dogs, hogs, camels and asses praise those men who never listen to the transcendental pastimes of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the deliverer from evils. Purport: The general mass of people, unless they are trained systematically for a higher standard of life in spiritual values, are no better than animals, and in this verse they have particularly been put on the level of dogs, hogs, camels and asses....

Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 2 - Chapter 1 - Verse 19 Sanskrit: इत्थं मुनिस्तूपरमेद् व्यवस्थितोविज्ञानद‍ृग्वीर्यसुरन्धिताशय: ।स्वपार्ष्णिनापीड्य गुदं ततोऽनिलंस्थानेषु षट्‍सून्नमयेज्जितक्लम: ॥ १९ ॥ ITRANS: itthaṁ munis tūparamed vyavasthitovijñāna-dṛg-vīrya-surandhitāśayaḥsva-pārṣṇināpīḍya gudaṁ tato ’nilaṁsthāneṣu ṣaṭsūnnamayej jita-klamaḥ Translation: By the strength of scientific knowledge, one should be well situated in absolute realization and thus be able to extinguish all material desires. One should then give up the material body by blocking the air hole [through which stool is evacuated] with the heel of one’s foot and by lifting the life air from one place to another in the six primary places....

Thus the mind becomes free from all sense objects....

Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 1 - Chapter 1 - Verse 19 Sanskrit: महर्षयो वै समुपागता येप्रशस्य साध्वित्यनुमोदमाना: ।ऊचु: प्रजानुग्रहशीलसारायदुत्तमश्लोकगुणाभिरूपम् ॥ १९ ॥ ITRANS: maharṣayo vai samupāgatā yepraśasya sādhv ity anumodamānāḥūcuḥ prajānugraha-śīla-sārāyad uttama-śloka-guṇābhirūpam Translation: All the great sages who were assembled there also praised the decision of Mahārāja Parīkṣit, and they expressed their approval by saying “Very good.” Naturally the sages are inclined to do good to common men, for they have all the qualitative powers of the Supreme Lord....

The Personality of Godhead, unlimited in potency and transcendental by attributes, is called Ananta [Unlimited]....
