After entering within me, You have enlivened all my sleeping senses — my hands, legs, ears, touch sensation, life force and especially my power of speech....

Also, he said that Lord Śiva was especially sorry because he had recently lost his dear wife and was also very much afflicted by the unkind words of Dakṣa....

He carried a great trident, fearful enough to kill even death, and on his legs he wore bangles which seemed to roar....

Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 4 - Chapter 1 - Verse 6 Sanskrit: आब्रह्मघोषोर्जितयज्ञवैशसंविप्रर्षिजुष्टं विबुधैश्च सर्वश: ।मृद्दार्वय:काञ्चनदर्भचर्मभि-र्निसृष्टभाण्डं यजनं समाविशत् ॥ ६ ॥ ITRANS: ābrahma-ghoṣorjita-yajña-vaiśasaṁviprarṣi-juṣṭaṁ vibudhaiś ca sarvaśaḥmṛd-dārv-ayaḥ-kāñcana-darbha-carmabhirnisṛṣṭa-bhāṇḍaṁ yajanaṁ samāviśat Translation: She then reached her father’s house, where the sacrifice was being performed, and entered the arena where everyone was chanting the Vedic hymns. The great sages, brāhmaṇas and demigods were all assembled there, and there were many sacrificial animals, as well as pots made of clay, stone, gold, grass and skin, which were all requisite for the sacrifice....

Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 4 - Chapter 1 - Verse 6 Sanskrit: तां कामयानां भगवानुवाह यजुषां पति: ।तुष्टायां तोषमापन्नोऽजनयद् द्वादशात्मजान् ॥ ६ ॥ ITRANS: tāṁ kāmayānāṁ bhagavānuvāha yajuṣāṁ patiḥtuṣṭāyāṁ toṣam āpanno’janayad dvādaśātmajān Translation: The Lord of the ritualistic performance of yajña later married Dakṣiṇā, who was anxious to have the Personality of Godhead as her husband, and in this wife the Lord was also very much pleased to beget twelve children. Purport: An ideal husband and wife are generally called Lakṣmī-Nārāyaṇa to compare them to the Lord and the goddess of fortune, for it is significant that Lakṣmī-Nārāyaṇa are forever happy as husband and wife....

Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 3 - Chapter 1 - Verse 6 Sanskrit: यन्नामधेयश्रवणानुकीर्तनाद्यत्प्रह्वणाद्यत्स्मरणादपि क्‍वचित् ।श्वादोऽपि सद्य: सवनाय कल्पतेकुत: पुनस्ते भगवन्नु दर्शनात् ॥ ६ ॥ ITRANS: yan-nāmadheya-śravaṇānukīrtanādyat-prahvaṇād yat-smaraṇād api kvacitśvādo ’pi sadyaḥ savanāya kalpatekutaḥ punas te bhagavan nu darśanāt Translation: To say nothing of the spiritual advancement of persons who see the Supreme Person face to face, even a person born in a family of dog-eaters immediately becomes eligible to perform Vedic sacrifices if he once utters the holy name of the Supreme Personality of Godhead or chants about Him, hears about His pastimes, offers Him obeisances or even remembers Him....

Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 3 - Chapter 1 - Verse 6 Sanskrit: निवृत्तिधर्मनिरता निर्ममा निरहङ्कृता: ।स्वधर्माप्तेन सत्त्वेन परिशुद्धेन चेतसा ॥ ६ ॥ ITRANS: nivṛtti-dharma-niratānirmamā nirahaṅkṛtāḥsva-dharmāptena sattvenapariśuddhena cetasā Translation: By executing one’s occupational duties, acting with detachment and without a sense of proprietorship or false egoism, one is posted in one’s constitutional position by dint of complete purification of consciousness, and by thus executing so-called material duties he can easily enter into the kingdom of God....
