Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 8 - Chapter 1 - Verse 29
Sanskrit:
नि:सत्त्वा लोलुपा राजन् निरुद्योगा गतत्रपा: ।यदा चोपेक्षिता लक्ष्म्या बभूवुर्दैत्यदानवा: ॥ २९ ॥
ITRANS:
niḥsattvā lolupā rājannirudyogā gata-trapāḥyadā copekṣitā lakṣmyābabhūvur daitya-dānavāḥ
Translation:
O King, because of being neglected by the goddess of fortune, the demons and Rākṣasas were depressed, bewildered and frustrated, and thus they became shameless.
