Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 7 - Chapter 1 - Verse 23 Sanskrit: आन्वीक्षिक्या शोकमोहौ दम्भं महदुपासया ।योगान्तरायान्मौनेन हिंसां कामाद्यनीहया ॥ २३ ॥ ITRANS: ānvīkṣikyā śoka-mohaudambhaṁ mahad-upāsayāyogāntarāyān maunenahiṁsāṁ kāmādy-anīhayā Translation: By discussing spiritual knowledge one can conquer lamentation and illusion, by serving a great devotee one can become prideless, by keeping silent one can avoid obstacles on the path of mystic yoga, and simply by stopping sense gratification one can conquer envy.
