मैत्रेय उवाचजनेषु प्रगृणत्स्वेवं पृथुं पृथुलविक्रमम् ।तत्रोपजग्मुर्मुनयश्चत्वार: सूर्यवर्चस: ॥ १ ॥
ITRANS:
maitreya uvācajaneṣu pragṛṇatsv evaṁpṛthuṁ pṛthula-vikramamtatropajagmur munayaścatvāraḥ sūrya-varcasaḥ
Translation:
The great sage Maitreya said: While the citizens were thus praying to the most powerful King Pṛthu, the four Kumāras, who were as bright as the sun, arrived on the spot.
