Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 11 - Chapter 1 - Verse 57
Sanskrit:
कपोती प्रथमं गर्भं गृह्णन्ती काल आगते ।अण्डानि सुषुवे नीडे स्वपत्यु: सन्निधौ सती ॥ ५७ ॥
ITRANS:
kapotī prathamaṁ garbhaṁgṛhṇantī kāla āgateaṇḍāni suṣuve nīḍesta-patyuḥ sannidhau satī
Translation:
Then the female pigeon experienced her first pregnancy. When the time arrived, the chaste lady delivered a number of eggs within the nest in the presence of her husband.
