Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 10 - Chapter 1 - Verse 022


Sanskrit:

न चलसि न वदस्युदारबुद्धेक्षितिधर चिन्तयसे महान्तमर्थम् ।अपि बत वसुदेवनन्दनाङ्‍‍घ्रिवयमिव कामयसे स्तनैर्विधर्तुम् ॥ २२ ॥

ITRANS:

na calasi na vadasy udāra-buddhekṣiti-dhara cintayase mahāntam arthamapi bata vasudeva-nandanāṅghriṁvayam iva kāmayase stanair vidhartum

Translation:

O magnanimous mountain, you neither move nor speak. You must be pondering some matter of great importance. Or do you, like us, desire to hold on your breasts the feet of Vasudeva’s darling son?

Purport:

Here the word stanaiḥ, “on your breasts,” refers to the mountain’s peaks.
