कस्यानुभावोऽस्य न देव विद्महेतवाङ्घ्रिरेणुस्परशाधिकार: ।यद्वाञ्छया श्रीर्ललनाचरत्तपोविहाय कामान् सुचिरं धृतव्रता ॥ ३६ ॥
ITRANS:
kasyānubhāvo ’sya na deva vidmahetavāṅghri-reṇu-sparaśādhikāraḥyad-vāñchayā śrīr lalanācarat tapovihāya kāmān su-ciraṁ dhṛta-vratā
Translation:
O Lord, we do not know how the serpent Kāliya has attained this great opportunity of being touched by the dust of Your lotus feet. For this end, the goddess of fortune performed austerities for centuries, giving up all other desires and observing austere vows.
