Translation: O supreme protector, O grandfather, O supreme pure, O Lord! We are all surrendered souls at Your lotus feet. Indeed, our minds are bound to Your lotus feet in meditation by chains of love....

Therefore one should be allowed to remain in so-called material enjoyment while simultaneously advancing in knowledge to experience the misery of this false material happiness....

Because of his highly elevated happiness, Dakṣa could not say anything, but simply remained flat on the ground. Thus he detached his mind from the process of sense gratification and became fully absorbed in thinking of the form of the Lord. Purport: If one worships the Deity in the temple, one’s mind will naturally be absorbed in thought of the Lord and His form....

In this way all living entities are awarded different qualities, different names [such as brāhmaṇa, kṣatriya and vaiśya], different duties according to the varṇāśrama institution, and different forms....

Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 7 - Chapter 1 - Verse 41 Sanskrit: आहु: शरीरं रथमिन्द्रियाणिहयानभीषून्मन इन्द्रियेशम् ।वर्त्मानि मात्रा धिषणां च सूतंसत्त्वं बृहद् बन्धुरमीशसृष्टम् ॥ ४१ ॥ ITRANS: āhuḥ śarīraṁ ratham indriyāṇihayān abhīṣūn mana indriyeśamvartmāni mātrā dhiṣaṇāṁ ca sūtaṁsattvaṁ bṛhad bandhuram īśa-sṛṣṭam Translation: Transcendentalists who are advanced in knowledge compare the body, which is made by the order of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, to a chariot. The senses are like the horses; the mind, the master of the senses, is like the reins; the objects of the senses are the destinations; intelligence is the chariot driver; and consciousness, which spreads throughout the body, is the cause of bondage in this material world....

Indeed, we have fallen into this river and are repeatedly suffering the pains of birth and death and eating horrible things....

Now that this insignificant demon Hiraṇyakaśipu has been killed, O my Lord, who are naturally affectionate to Your devotee, kindly protect his son Prahlāda Mahārāja, who is standing nearby as Your fully surrendered devotee....
