Jaya!” he immediately came down to see the function. Upon seeing so much glorification of Lord Kṛṣṇa, he was completely astonished....

All My friends complaining against Me are liars. If you think they are being truthful, you can directly look into My mouth and examine it....

Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 10 - Chapter 1 - Verse 35-36 Sanskrit: पीतप्रायस्य जननी सुतस्य रुचिरस्मितम् ।मुखं लालयती राजञ्जृम्भतो दद‍ृशे इदम् ॥ ३५ ॥खं रोदसी ज्योतिरनीकमाशा:सूर्येन्दुवह्निश्वसनाम्बुधींश्च ।द्वीपान् नगांस्तद्दुहितृर्वनानिभूतानि यानि स्थिरजङ्गमानि? ॥ ३६ ॥ ITRANS: pīta-prāyasya jananīsutasya rucira-smitammukhaṁ lālayatī rājañjṛmbhato dadṛśe idam Translation: O King Parīkṣit, when the child Kṛṣṇa was almost finished drinking His mother’s milk and mother Yaśodā was touching Him and looking at His beautiful, brilliantly smiling face, the baby yawned, and mother Yaśodā saw in His mouth the whole sky, the higher planetary system and the earth, the luminaries in all directions, the sun, the moon, fire, air, the seas, islands, mountains, rivers, forests, and all kinds of living entities, moving and nonmoving....

Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 10 - Chapter 1 - Verse 35 Sanskrit: न त्वं विस्मृतशस्त्रास्त्रान् विरथान् भयसंवृतान् ।हंस्यन्यासक्तविमुखान् भग्नचापानयुध्यत: ॥ ३५ ॥ ITRANS: na tvaṁ vismṛta-śastrāstrānvirathān bhaya-saṁvṛtānhaṁsy anyāsakta-vimukhānbhagna-cāpān ayudhyataḥ Translation: When the demigods are bereft of their chariots, when they forget how to use weapons, when they are fearful or attached to something other than fighting, or when their bows are broken and they have thus lost the ability to fight, Your Majesty does not kill them....

Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 10 - Chapter 1 - Verse 35 Sanskrit: सत्त्वं न चेद्धातरिदं निजं भवेद्विज्ञानमज्ञानभिदापमार्जनम् ।गुणप्रकाशैरनुमीयते भवान्प्रकाशते यस्य च येन वा गुण: ॥ ३५ ॥ ITRANS: sattvaṁ na ced dhātar idaṁ nijaṁ bhavedvijñānam ajñāna-bhidāpamārjanamguṇa-prakāśair anumīyate bhavānprakāśate yasya ca yena vā guṇaḥ Translation: O Lord, cause of all causes, if Your transcendental body were not beyond the modes of material nature, one could not understand the difference between matter and transcendence. Only by Your presence can one understand the transcendental nature of Your Lordship, who are the controller of material nature....

Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 10 - Chapter 1 - Verse 35 Sanskrit: इत्युक्त: स खल: पापो भोजानां कुलपांसन: । भगिनीं हन्तुमारब्धं खड्‍गपाणि: कचेऽग्रहीत् ॥ ३५ ॥ ITRANS: ity uktaḥ sa khalaḥ pāpobhojānāṁ kula-pāṁsanaḥbhaginīṁ hantum ārabdhaḥkhaḍga-pāṇiḥ kace ’grahīt Translation: Kaṁsa was a condemned personality in the Bhoja dynasty because he was envious and sinful. Therefore, upon hearing this omen from the sky, he caught hold of his sister’s hair with his left hand and took up his sword with his right hand to sever her head from her body....
