Srimad-Bhagavatam: Canto 2 - Chapter 1 - Verse 6 Sanskrit: बाहवो लोकपालानां प्रायश: क्षेमकर्मणाम् ॥ ६ ॥ ITRANS: bāhavo loka-pālānāṁprāyaśaḥ kṣema-karmaṇām Translation: The Lord’s arms are the productive fields for the great demigods and other leaders of the living entities who protect the general mass. Purport: This important verse of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is corroborated and nicely explained in the Bhagavad-gītā (10.41-42) as follows: There are many powerful kings, leaders, learned scholars, scientists, artists, engineers, inventors, excavators, archaeologists, industrialists, politicians, economists, business magnates, and many more powerful deities or demigods like Brahmā, Śiva, Indra, Candra, Sūrya, Varuṇa and Marut, who are all protecting the interest of the universal affairs of maintenance, in different positions, and all of them are different powerful parts and parcels of the Supreme Lord....

Purport: In every inquisitive mind the important question of the creation of the phenomenal world arises, and therefore for a personality like Mahārāja Parīkṣit, who was to know all the activities of the Lord from his spiritual master, such an inquiry is not uncommon....

Because He is the Almighty Personality of Godhead, eternal and unlimited, He is the ultimate goal of life, and by worshiping Him one can end the cause of the conditioned state of existence....

Therefore that water sanctifies the three worlds inside and outside and even sanctifies Lord Śiva and other demigods....

Since you are beating the innocent in a secluded place, you are considered a culprit and therefore deserve to be killed....

What is the use of topics which simply waste one’s valuable life? Purport: Lord Kṛṣṇa and His devotees are both on the transcendental plane; therefore the topics of Lord Kṛṣṇa and of His pure devotees are equally good....
